I Am My City SF

A place for a local, 4th Generation San Francisco kid, born and raised, to express how much he loves his city through photography.  Where people can learn about San Francisco's history, characteristics (from the famous to the quirky), and how The City has helped raise a local kid into a man.

Cable Car Tours: Mr. CC Visits The Real Crookedest Street In The World

October 10, 2016 by Jared Sanz-Freilich in Cable Car Tours

As you can probably tell, Mr. CC is not on the finely manicure and groomed Lombard Street. Well, that’s because Lombard Street is NOT the crookedest street in the world. In fact, Lombard Street isn’t even the crookedest street in San Francisco. That award goes to Vermont Street.

Vermont Street might not have the elaborate flare or glamour of Lombard, but it represents SF to a T. Lombard Street is like visiting Alcatraz, Fisherman’s Wharf or riding a Cable Car (no offense to Mr. CC or course)…true San Franciscan’s only do these things when someone from out of town visits. Vermont Street’s crooked span might not be flashy, pretty or famous…but driving down it ALWAYS makes me smile.

You will DEFINITELY see more about Vermont Street in upcoming posts.
